A 45-year old woman gave birth to triplets after IVF treatment in VPS Lakeshore

After three consequent failed IVF Pregnancy, 45-year old Suja Selvan gave birth to triplets on the fourth time.

Suja Selvan, a native of Kochi, after three consequent failed IVF Pregnancy successfully gave birth to triplets on the fourth time. The 45-year old lady was admitted under Dr. Gigi Samsheer, Consultant, Obstetrics & Gynecology Department, and was taken care of with uttermost professional expertise. “The pregnancy involved high risk but we counseled her for not having fetal reduction as we were confident enough in managing her”, said Dr. Gigi Samsheer. Eventually, on the 34th week, she was taken for cesarean and gave birth to three healthy infants. The babies weighed two kg's each and was given paramount care. Post the 5th operative day, both Mother and the three infants were discharged home.
